FOOTBALL CAMP 2010
 
 INTRODUCTION:
 
Cavalier Youth Football is proud to announce the dates of the Tenth Annual Cavalier Youth Football Camp as Wednesday June 16th, Thursday June 17th, and Friday June 18th. Last year's camp was a tremendous success with over 250 campers in attendance in it's ninth year. The camp is conducted within the safe environment of the Jerry Barker Stadium at Calvary Baptist Church and Academy at 9333 Linwood Avenue in Shreveport, LA. Led by qualified Christian coaches, quality instruction designed specifically to help the youth football player will be provided. 
 
We begin with on-site sign in at 5:00 Wednesday night June 16th. Pre-registration on-line ends 24 hours prior to camp. Sessions are from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night.  
 
Campers will be divided into groups by age. 5 year olds through 7 year olds will attend a specialized Flag Football Camp while 8 year olds throught 12 year olds wil attend our tackle camp. All campers will recieve a camp T-Shirt, water bottle, free Bossier-Shreveport Battlewings ticket and three sessions of quality instruction from the Cavalier Youth Football Coaching Staff.
 
   INSTRUCTION:
    The camp is actually four camps in one:
 
5-7 year olds attend the Flag Camp and rotate through stations providing specialized
 coaching in multiple offensive and defensive positions.
8 year olds attend the Fundamental Tackle Camp and rotate through offensive and defensive stations
for every position focusing on a broad range of fundamental skills in each.
9-10 year olds attend the Advanced Tackle Skills Camp and rotate through position specific stations of their
choice on both offense and defense.
11-12 year olds attend the tackle camp and rotate through position specific stations of
 their choice on both offense and defense. The Friday session may include 7 on 7 Competition between defensive backs, linebackers, receivers and quarterbacks.

    DEVOTIONS:
            Each camp session begins with prayer and ends with a brief
            devotional.  Our goal is to exemplify Jesus Christ in word and
            deed throughout the entire season and one's entire
            experience with the Cavalier Youth Football Program.
 
    EQUIPMENT:
            Campers are instructed to wear loose fitting shorts and rubber
            sole cleats.  Camp T-Shirts are provided for each camper at
            sign in. 
 
    FEES:
            Cost of the camp is $100 per camper.
 
            Cavalier Youth Football Players from 2009 receive a $25 discount!!
           
 
    CANCELLATION POLICY: 
            Fees are transferable but not refundable.
 
    PARENTS:
            Parents are encouraged to have campers present and on time
            for eeach session and to pick them up promptly upon completion. 
            Parents are welcome to watch the camp from the bleachers but
            are not allowed on the field.  Parents are also encouraged to be
present for the devotion and nightly awards presentations
conducted the last ten minutes of each session.
 
    OTHER:
            Concession stand will be open for your convenience.  Ample
            water breaks will be provided for participants.
OnLine Registration for CYF Camp 2010 Has Ended. Anyone else interested in attending camp will be registered on site beginning at 5pm Wednesday June 16th. Camp will begin at 6pm.
